the moment I saw you I knew I could love you (work-in-progress showings)

Fix 09 @ Catalyst Art

A pocket showing of material from the new Curious performance in development which will premiere at Chelsea Theatre, London as part of the SACRED season in November 2009, so this is a chance to see the work at an early stage of development. The finished piece will include 6 performers, a soundtrack by Graeme Miller and a film made with acclaimed British film-maker Andrew Kötting (Gallivant, This Filthy Earth).

the moment I saw you I knew I could love you navigates a jagged terrain of guts and gut feelings, is about instincts we feel rather than facts we know - when the body demands to be heard and tells us to fight, to flee or to freeze. It is about fear, it is about impulse and it is about love.

Supported by a Wellcome Trust Arts Award, the National Lottery through Arts Council England and Brunel University. Commissioned by Chelsea Theatre, Colchester Arts Centre and New Moves International for The National Review of Live Art 2010. Made with the support of a residency at the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Hosking Houses Trust.
