Body, Place, Memory symposium
MEM AUD 125
An interdisciplinary symposium to cross fertilise ideas about the body, place and memory across performance studies and biological sciences.
The event is hosted by Stanford Univeristy faculty with guest speaker Professor Gretchen Schiller from the University of Grenoble who will present her research on kinaesthetic mapping, body memory and how place bares its marks on the muscular fibres of our bodies. Food and informal socialising will be a key part of the event.
There will also be a workshop with Gretchen Schiller, Traceplace, on 25 & 26 October from 6-9pm.
