In summer of 2002 I presented different performances to honour the memory of a black woman slave that was hanged and burned in Montréal, Canada, in 1734. The story of black and native slavery in Canada is still very unknown, a fact from history that has been generally ignored. I took the occasion to honour the life of one of them, and also to bring the visitors up to date to the fact that there is even more slavery prevalent today in 2002....next
